Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. It is typically played on a court with the same dimensions as a doubles badminton court, and a net that is slightly shorter than a tennis net. The game is played with a plastic ball that is similar in size to a Wiffle ball and paddles that are similar in size to table tennis paddles, but slightly larger.
The objective of the game is to hit the ball over the net and onto the opponent’s side of the court in a way that makes it difficult for them to return the ball. Points are scored when the opponent fails to return the ball or hits the ball out of bounds. The game can be played as singles or doubles, and the first player or team to reach 11 points (with a two-point lead) wins the game.
Beginner Lessons and Fundamental Drills are being offered weekly.
Check the Weekly Pickleball Schedule on the Cateechee app to see which
days and times they are offered. Beginner lessons are $10 per player.
Fundamental drills are for all skill levels and are $10 per player. The
fundamental sessions focus on dinking, 3rd shot drops, positioning and
strategy. Both are 1 hour sessions.
